Our registered office is 254 Bradford Road, Manchester, M40 7BT. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 835838. 2. What we collect
This website does not use contact forms, account systems, advertising cookies or analytics. The personal information we receive through it is limited to:
- Information you send us. If you email or phone us, we receive your contact details, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to include in your message, which may include details of a potential claim.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operational purposes.
3. Cookies and third parties
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no third-party scripts, fonts, trackers or analytics: every file it serves, including its typefaces, comes from our own domain.
4. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your enquiry and, where you instruct us, assess and progress a claim on your behalf;
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including those owed to the Financial Conduct Authority;
- keep proper business records and handle any complaint you make;
- operate and secure this website.
5. Lawful bases
Under UK GDPR, we rely on: steps taken at your request before entering a contract and performance of a contract, when you enquire about or instruct us on a claim; legal obligation, for regulatory record keeping; and legitimate interests, for site security and the ordinary administration of our business. Where a claim involves special category data, such as health information in certain claims, we will rely on your explicit consent or another appropriate condition and will explain this to you at the time.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary with: the firm your complaint concerns; the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme where a referral is made; regulated solicitors, only with your written consent; our professional advisers and IT or hosting providers acting under contract; and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with it. Where you become a client, we keep case records for as long as our regulatory obligations require, typically six years after a matter closes, after which they are securely deleted.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on. To exercise any of these rights, email Admin@selectclaims.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
9. Complaints about data
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (our registration number is ZC049558) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this notice
