The information we collect
If you email us, we will use your message and contact details to reply to you.
Our enquiry form asks for:
- details about what happened: the type of scam, how and when you paid, a rough amount and whether you’ve told your bank;
- your name, email address, phone number and postcode.
Information about fraud can be sensitive and may relate to a crime. If you choose to share information about your health or personal relationships, we will only use it to help with your enquiry and will handle it with extra care.
When you send an enquiry, your answers are sent to us by email. With each enquiry we also record the date and time, the page you used, your IP address and your browser type. This keeps a record of your permission and helps us prevent misuse of the form.
How we use your information
- To review your enquiry and explain the options open to you, including the free ones.
- With your agreement, to pass your enquiry to a firm that can help. We’ll tell you who before we share anything.
